Local 743 takes pride in our continuing work of raising money for the GDA. Our contributions as a local have helped raise over 2 million dollars in the past 26-plus years. Of that 2 million dollars over 130k dollars was raised in 2023 that was presented at the 42nd GDA Freedom Banquet, in Las Vegas. The donations we raise, are funds to help people with blindness, visual impairment, veterans with PTSD, and children with autism. We continue to strive to reach our goals every year with the continuing support of all our brothers and sisters here at LL743, and contributions from surrounding locals, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and RTX Corporations.
We would also like to congratulate Brother Paul Duff. Brother Paul received the Gift of Sight in 2021 at the 40th Annual Guide Dogs of America William W. Winpisinger Charity Banquet.
