We are Local Lodge 743 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, an affiliate of District Lodge 26.
Our lodge is located in Windsor Locks Connecticut at 2 Concorde Way Building 4, and proudly represents approximately 1700 active and retired men and women from RTX Collins Aerospace and TLD/ACE.
We are often referred to as the “IAM” or “The Fighting Machinists”.
Our heritage is long and proud, with over 80 years of IAM membership. We were originally chartered as “The Hartford Aircraft Lodge #743” on March 1st 1941. We are committed to growing our CT workforce and ensuring that all of our members are treated fairly.
Local Lodge 743 proudly demonstrates a strong commitment to the community by consistently extending a helping hand to our neighbors and others in need. We are extremely thankful that our forefathers had the insight to join the IAM and fight the battle for fairness in the workplace through the process of collective bargaining.
In fact, many of the benefits we reap today as workers are due to the battles they waged. We receive good wages, safe working conditions, and justice on the job. We must continue the battle that our forefathers started for the sake of all our members.
We also have an obligation to maintain and continue to make good paying jobs obtainable in the state of Connecticut for our children. After all, every Local 743 job is a good job.
A Job Worth Fighting For!
