The Local Lodge 743 Women’s committee announced this year’s winner of the 2008/2009 education grant essay contest at the August 10 monthly union meeting. The $500.00 education grant was presented to Jennifer Williams. Jennifer is the daughter of Scott Williams, who is a union member in the sheet metal department in Bldg. 1. The Women’s Committee would like to mention that choosing this years winner was extremely difficult due to all of the outstanding essays that were submitted.
The committee would like to extend a special thanks to everyone who took the time to participate, and encourages all of our members and their families to continue in both getting involved in their communities and furthering their education. Jennifer’s winning essay will soon be posted on our website at LL743.org.
